A very unique project from a very unique and classic film, I was commissioned to design, engineer and fabricate the wheelchair used by Jimmy Stewart in the film Rear Window. The chair was 3D modeled and then printed in wax, then cast in brass, and finally rhodium plated for the chrome look (printing and casting/plating done by Shapeways). Custom fabricated wheels with metal spokes and brown leather for the seats and seat back rounded out the piece. This project was a significant challenge but the end result was more than worth it.
